Important Notices:

- This fanfiction story takes place in 2011. So future games are not included here. (There are a few, but not many)
- This fanfiction is completely fan-made, and they're based on canon Nintendo games such as Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, Super Mario Sunshine, Legend of Zelda: 'Majora's Mask', etc. And it never actually happened. I repeat, just fan-made.
- A remake has been developed and had some notable changes between the original and 3D version, so I have to adjust and adapt my story. Unfortunately the changes are just too ridiculously many and has many pros and cons! So I just give you the link so you can see it for yourself. But for certain the boss battles will definitely be like the 3D versions, they are pretty cool.
- Characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Fox McCloud, Samus Aran, Megaman or Donkey Kong will NOT appear in the fanfiction for it's only a crossover about the Super Mario Universe and Legend of Zelda: 'Majora's Mask'.
- There are no fan-characters in this fanfiction except two which are a Toad and a Dry Bones who didn't had names in the games but will be named in this fanfic.
- You must have played or at least have knowledge about the games of Mario since 1981 and the game Legend of Zelda: 'Majora's Mask'. But worry not, I will try answer every question you might ask during the fanfictions. Note me for questions!

Previously Deku Mario, Deku Link and Tatl have sworn temporarily partnership to eachother, they noticed that Deku Mario wasn't from this world. Deku Mario will explain everything later if they're back to normal from their Deku Body curse. And they encountered a strange tree which the duo had an extraordinaire feeling upon gazing it. They ran away out of fear and went to the next section.

*Clock Tower*

Deku Mario, Deku Link and Tatl proceeds and proceeds until they went through a double door. After entering, the door suddenly closes. They then saw a long ramp which contains a waterwheel propelled by a small river, a sewer-like place.

Tatl: "Okay, we're almost at the town."

Deku Mario: "At the town?"

Deku Link: "Wait, you know this place?"

Tatl: "Yep, I live here in this place, well not here in this Clock Tower but outside of it."

Deku Link: "A clock tower?"

Deku Mario: "Ah, that-a explains all that noise."

Tatl: "Lets go up, there lies Clock Town. Tael and Skull Kid will be there, I know it."

Deku Link: "No time to lose!"

Deku Mario: *Nods* "Right!"

Deku Mario, Deku Link and Tatl dashes up the stairs and approaches a big wooden door. But before they went through, someone was watching them.

???: "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"

Deku Mario, Deku Link, Tatl: *Startles and turns around*

There was a man with a grinning face wearing a long purple vest, golden-like shoulderpads, purple clothing and purple shorts to his shins, wears purple, elf-like shoes. He was carrying a large backpack filled with different masks.

Tatl: *Hides behind Deku Link*

Deku Link: "Whoa, you scared us!"

Deku Mario: "M-Mama-mia, who are you!?"

???: "Oh, oh, oh, please excuse me for that. I own the Happy Mask Shop. I travel far and wide in search of masks..."

Deku Link: "Wait...aren't you the Happy Mask Salesman?"

???: "Why yes, I am."

Deku Link: "Aha, I knew it! I remember you back at Hyrule Castle Town Market. I used to attend business with you with masks, remember?"

Deku Mario: "Huh, you know this guy, kid?"

Deku Link: "Oh yes, it was months ago if I'm not mistaken..."

Happy Mask Salesman: "Of course, he used to loan some of my masks and sold it to other people. And then he returned to me and payed back the money they bought from it."

Deku Mario: "Oh, that's an awkward way to do business..."

Tatl: *Hiding behind Deku Link and whispers* _{"Tell me about it..."}

Happy Mask Salesman: "Well anyway, return to the main topic...During my travels, a very important mask was stolen from me by an imp in the woods. So here I am at a loss. And now I found you."

Deku Mario: *Looking at Deku Link* "An imp?"

Deku Link: *Shrugs* "...Wait! Could that be the Skull Kid?"

Happy Mask Salesman: "Yes, that's him! The very one who also have turned you into Deku Scrubs."

Deku Link: "What!?"

Deku Mario: "What!? You know about-a that!?

Happy Mask Salesman: "Now don't think me rude, but I have been following you..."

Deku Link: *Raising his right fist* "I-I see, so we're all after the same person then. So it was the cause of that mask that turned us into Deku Scrubs!"

Deku Mario: "Wait a second...you mean that that wasn't his face?"

Deku Link: "...How could that be a face?"

Deku Mario: "You might never know, I've-a seen enough weird things already."

Deku Link: "Oh well, so what now?"

Happy Mask Salesman: "Well...for I know of a way to return you to your former self."

Deku Mario: "You do? Woohoo!"

Deku Link: "Ah, now we're talking. Go on!"

Happy Mask Salesman: "If you can get back the precious item that was stolen from you, I will return you to normal."

Deku Link: *Wondering* "...You mean my ocarina?"

Happy Mask Salesman: "If that is your precious item, then yes."

Deku Mario: "What about-a meee!?"

Happy Mask Salesman: "I don't know, what did the imp stole from you?"

Deku Mario: "Well, he stole my whistle. But that's-a not really my precious item. I've just found it recently..."

Deku Link: "Ah, don't worry. We'll think of something."

Deku Mario: "...I hope so."

Happy Mask Salesman: "Anyhow, with that I can return you back to normal. In exchange...All I ask is that you also get back my precious mask that the imp stole from me."

Deku Link: "...Whoa there, it doesn't seems like a simple task, ya know."

Happy Mask Salesman: "What? Is it not a simple task? Why, to someone like you, it should by no means a difficult task."

Deku Mario: "Believe me, in all my years, I went through a lot."

Tatl: *Still hiding and being sarcastic* _{"Yeah, right."}

Deku Mario: "You don't-a even want to know. But I'll get it back for you...I just don't know how long it will take..."

Happy Mask Salesman: "Except..The one thing is...I'm a very busy fellow...And I must leave this place in three days. How grateful I would be if you could bring it back to me before my time here is up..."

Deku Mario, Deku Link: "In three days!?"

Happy Mask Salesman: "...But yes...you'll be fine. I see you are young and have tremendous courage."

Deku Link: "Heh, how'd you know?"

Deku Mario: "You are?"

Deku Link: *Looking at Deku Mario* "...You're gonna wet your pants if you hear what I've been through during my adventures..."

Deku Mario: "Oh, by all means. Tell me all about it."

Deku Link: *Thinking* "Am I missing something about this guy...yep, I do..."

Happy Mask Salesman: "I don't mind which one of you will find it, I'm sure you'll find it right away."

Deku Mario, Deku Link: *Gazing at eachother and then faces the Mask Salesman* "Oh, I'll get it back!"

Happy Mask Salesman: "Well then, I am counting on you..."

Deku Mario: "Here we go!"

Deku Link: "Here goes nothing!"

Deku Mario opens the left side of the door and Deku Link the right one while their unexpected adventure has begun to capture the sneaky Skull Kid, to retrieve their precious items in order to return back to normal, in exchange to get back the mysterious mask for the Happy Mask Salesman AND to reunite the bright yellow fairy Tatl with her little brother Tael.
